One of the great benefits and great problems about providing free Wi-Fi at a tech-related conference (FOOA) is that it allows practically real-time blogging to take place.
It’s a good thing because people get excited and can add super-fresh impressions about the content being presented. It’s a good thing because those in attendance engage in immediate conversation with one another, and the true heart of the conference can be revealed. It’s a good thing because it gets us through the boring presentations (like the one by Right Media’s Bill Wise).
It’s a bad thing because some of us (like me) get a little too caught up in watching the developments in the blogosphere via tagged posts on Technorati rather than paying attention to the keynotes.
I guess that tells you what we think is really important, and it’s not folks from Google and Yahoo and Feedburner. It’s us - the creators and consumers and conversation-makers.
Check out what everyone (the important people) has to say about the Future Of Online Advertising here.
Whoa, time to go - my battery is about to die, and some guy is presenting something really cool called VideoClix. Really cool.
