It's understandable that Ms. Sierra reacted the way she did - she was scared. But it seems like she got way too scared. News flash - people act like assholes on the internet and say things they probably wouldn't say or do offline, where there are social or legal consequences. Anonymity is a free be-a-total-fuckwad card for some people. If you're famous, or even internet-famous, don't cry at what you see when you google your name. Or the occasional retarded fuckwad comment on your blog.

However, the lady has kids. So if she thought there was a remote possibility that someone would take their mother from them, she had to call the cops. And she had to call out Chris Locke for having a site where people felt like it was okay to say this crap. Was she justified in her total defamation of him? Maybe not, but it seems like Mr. Locke is having a fun time victimizing himself too.

Find the people who made the comments/photoshops, make sure they're not criminally insane, and move on! Jeez. It's like the blogosphere is a bunch of middle school kids on myspace.
