Tables are meant for tabular data. And until email clients respect this (hell, IE still doesn't respect it, and it's a browser!), there is always going to be this divide.<BR/><BR/>And like you said, it's really hard for web developers fluent in CSS to start using tables instead. It's like giving a famous painter only a pencil to work with.<BR/><BR/>But like you said, clients don't care HOW you do it. Just do it. That's the problem with web design, which Zeldman touched on briefly recently - web design these days is mostly about appearance, and how it looks. There's no concern for the living, breathable element that relies on consistent change and interaction.<BR/><BR/>I hate designing with tables too.
